Payment method

A payment method is the specific instrument a platform charges - a credit or debit card, a digital wallet, a prepaid card, or a local alternative such as a bank transfer or carrier billing. Once saved to the account it can be reused for later purchases without re-entering the details.

Where you see it

You pick one at the first checkout, and after that it sits in a payment or billing panel inside account settings, where saved entries can usually be added, replaced or removed.

Why it matters

The choice decides how the charge is worded on your statement, how straightforward a refund or dispute is, and whether recurring billing can keep taking money after you stop using the site. Accepted methods differ by platform and by where you live, so the list a review describes may not be the list you are shown.
