Cancellation policy
A cancellation policy is the operator's written rule for how you stop a paid plan - which control ends it, how much notice is required, and whether access stops at once or runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. It governs future charges, not money already taken.

Where you see it
It lives in the terms or the billing help pages, and at checkout it is usually a small link beside the payment form rather than text on the form itself.
Why it matters
Cancelling and being refunded are separate things: most policies stop the next charge and leave the current one in place. Find the cancellation control before you save a card, and if the only route is a support form rather than a button in your account, expect the process to take time.
