Performer verification
Performer verification is the check a platform runs before anyone is allowed to broadcast: an identity document, a match between that document and a live photo, and a signed agreement confirming the person is an adult and is appearing by choice. It applies to everyone who appears on camera, not only to the account holder who set the room up.

Where you see it
Not directly. What you see is its output - a verified badge on a performer profile, and the operator's own description of its checks and record-keeping in the terms or on a compliance page.
Why it matters
It is the main thing separating a licensed cam platform from an unmoderated stream, and a reason to prefer operators that describe the process publicly. It also has a limit worth knowing: it confirms identity and age at sign-up and certifies nothing about a guest who walks into a room later, so report a room that looks wrong rather than assuming someone checked.
